In June 2022, the second mural in the series of Academic Murals was unveiled. This one is dedicated to coryfee Prof Jacobus Kapteyn (1851-1922), the first UG professor of astronomy. A grant obtained by professors Peter Barthel, Diederik Roest, and Caspar Van der Wal from the KNAW's 'Science Appreciated' programme made it possible to initiate a short animation film. This film explains to schoolchildren who and how important Kapteyn was. The film is subtitled in English and can be viewed by means of a QR code near the mural (on mobile phones and tablets).

Anne Mérat's studio is responsible for the animation. The collaboration with artist Fynn van de Ziel, who created the original mural, played an important role in its creation. The production of the film is in the hands of Peter Barthel and Marcos Guimaraes, in collaboration with Anne Mérat.
