In Science - Podcast about the consequences of the Russian invasion in Ukraine for researchers and scholars
Our episode today is about the consequences of the Russion invasion of Ukraine for researchers and scholars. We focus on initiatives and actions within the Dutch academic community and within the Groningen academic community and what can be done to help refugees and people at risk. Our first guest is Marie-Jose van Tol, professor of Mood and Cognition and recently appointed as chair of De Jonge Akademie of the KNAW.
As chair, she is very involved in coordinating activities and initiatives for Ukrainian researchers and scholars. Our second guest is Hedderik van Rijn, professor at our Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences. He is using his SlimStampen adaptive learning tool to help refugees learn the language of the country they’re currently staying in.
