Your ears have to endure a lot: loud music, but also everyday noises like traffic and hair dryers. Neuroscientist Sonja Pyott (UG) explains how noise damages your ears. New estimates indicate that after the age of twenty, roughly one in five individuals suffer from some type of hearling loss. In this age group, the biggest cause of hearing loss seems to be noise exposure.
