Final height reached of new Feringa Building (video)
The construction work on the new Feringa Building is progressing successfully and the constructors of Ballast Nedam reached a special moment this month: the ‘topping off’ ceremony. In this long-standing tradition of construction workers, an evergreen tree is hoisted up to mark the highest point of the new building.
The construction of the Feringa Building - new home for Science and Engineering of the University of Groningen - started in September 2019 and phase 1 is expected to be completed in the summer of 2022.
