New e-journal: GAGL (Groninger Arbeiten zur germanistischen Linguistik)
GAGL (Groninger Arbeiten zur germanistischen Linguistik) was a well-known working papers series in English and German on the subject of Germanic linguistics, founded by Werner Abraham, and published by the University of Groningen between 1972 and 2011. Its aim was the speedy distribution of draft versions of new publications, and many highly influential articles on Germanic syntax from the 1980s were first disseminated through GAGL. All volumes of GAGL from 1981 on were digitized in 2008, when GAGL stopped its paper production. For its final years, it appeared as an online-only journal published by the University Library.
University of Groningen Press has now incorporated GAGL in its online journal archive, so that these valuable early publications on the syntax and semantics of the German, Dutch, and English languages remain permanently available to the scientific community.
- Online available at the moment: No.15 (1979) - No.53.2 (2011).
Missing volumes
We regret missing the oldest issues of GAGL (1 to 14). If anyone has these issues, we would like to get in contact with you and see if it is possible to digitize them to complete the archive.
