Innocent Drinks Guest Lecture at UCG - 10 March
On Thursday 10 March UCG will host another exciting guest lecture - this time by Jessica Sansom, Head of Sustainability for Innocent Drinks. Innocent are famous not only for their delicious smoothies and juices, but also their mantra to “leave things a little better than we find them”. From the ingredients they use to production methods and packaging, Innocent are on a “quest to become a truly sustainable business” who take responsibility for their impact on society and the environment, and through the Innocent Foundation they are working with charities all over the world to help the world’s hungry.
Jessica has worked in environmental and sustainability roles in both the private and public sector and was listed as one of the ethical leaders of 2008 alongside Bill Gates and Barack Obama. She is interested in how businesses need to plan forward to adapt to global macro forces (climate change, water scarcity etc ) and trends (digital, sharing etc), and adopt new business models and innovation to succeed, and her lecture will tell how Innocent are working to achieve this.
Spaces at the lecture are limited so if you would like to attend please sign up via https://docs.google.com/a/rug.nl/forms/d/1N8oUnc_BmqZgDfSHNqdM903fL7JT2vWO31h06WWFN7I/viewform?c=0&w=1! It will also be possible to watch a livestream of the lecture, and the link to this will be posted on the UCG website and social media on the day of the event.
