EUR 4 mln for EU Initial Training Network
The EU Marie Curie Actions has awarded about EUR 4 million to MetaRNA, an Initial Training Network, to be coordinated by Prof. Matthias Heinemann of the Groningen Biomolecular Sciences & Biotechnology Institute ( GBB ). MetaRNA will educate fifteen early-stage researchers for academia and industry in the development and application of RNA-based sensors to investigate metabolism at the single-cell level and to apply these tools for novel biotechnological applications. Mobility and training are offered by means of customized research projects, exchange of knowhow among researchers and partners, workshops and conferences, as well as training in complementary skills.
In MetaRNA, eight research groups from the metabolic and RNA fields and six partners from the private sector join forces. All MetaRNA partners are from France, Germany, Denmark, the United Kingdom or the Netherlands.
