Title: The Meijer G-function
Abstract:
Many special functions of mathematical physics have a hypergeometric
character and are solutions of a special case of the generalized hyperge-
ometric di_erential equation. The G-functions form a general class of
solutions of this equation. Meijer de_ned these by means of Barnes inte-
grals and studied its properties, in particular its asymptotic expansions.
We will give an introduction to this area by means of an example.
