Wanted: 1,000 volunteers
A month packed with exciting events: the University of Groningen is celebrating its 400th anniversary with a spectacular programme based on the theme For Infinity (48). A huge RUG400 team is currently working hard to organize this varied programme, along with lots of partners from the north of the country. The RUG400 team is now looking for 1,000 volunteers to help them make all the events possible.
There will something to do nearly every day from 15 May to 15 June: large and small-scale events, in city and province, for young and old, during the day, in the evenings and even at night. But we need volunteers to help the following events go ahead: the DNA experience, 400 days for 400 questions, the spectacular musical theatre show For Infinity, the Gift for Infinity, The Night of Art & Science, Walk for Infinity, Lauwersloop, Masquerade, the dazzling final party, and many more. Sign up as a volunteer on www.rug400.nl.
Unforgettable experience
So how about rolling up your shirt sleeves and helping the RUG400 team make this a month to remember? Polish your organization skills as part of an important team, and end this month of festivities at a special after-party for the army of volunteers. Helping to organize a major event like this could be interesting and informative, but whatever else, it will be an unforgettable experience!
All help is welcome
The tasks we need help with are as varied as the programme itself: setting up and clearing away equipment at events, ticket control, issuing food & drinks vouchers, showing visitors around, decorating, promotion work or working behind a bar. All help is welcome.
