Dimitry Kochenov on citizenship by investment in Russia
Prof. Dimitry Kochenov (EU Constitutional Law) participated in a prime-time BBC World Radio talk show 'Vam slovo' (in Russian) to discuss the first proposals of the Russian migration service to introduce a citizenship by investment scheme in the Russian Federation. Prof. Kochenov compared the Russian initiatives with the best practices in the EU, making an emphasis on the analysis of the Maltese investment citizenship programme. Not so long ago Prof. Kochenov participated in the discussions with the European Commission regarding the fine-tuning of that programme in the context of EU law as a member of the Maltese delegation.
