Ryanair is the world’s favourite airline operating over 1,500 flights per day from 57 bases on 1,500 low fare routes across 28 countries, connecting over 180 destinations. Ryanair operates a fleet of over 305 new Boeing 737-800 aircraft with firm orders for a further 175 new aircraft (before taking account of planned disposals), which will be delivered over the next years.
Ryanair has a team of more than 8,500 people and expects to carry over 80 million passengers in the current fiscal year.
The successful candidate will be based in Dublin, reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager for Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Netherlands, Czech Republic and Hungary. He/she will travel 3-4 days/week on his/her own initiative Europe wide once training is completed.
The intern’s field of activities encompasses, but is not restricted to the following:
- Support the team in maximizing sales volumes on Ryanair’s routes in Central; Europe
- Initiate and deliver a prepared programme of sales, marketing & promotions activities in the market
- Maintain and build new relationships with 3rd parties, incl. media, event organisers, promotion contacts to
- Increase volume on all routes
- Devise topical ads and maintain close contact to the advertisement department
- Assist in development of PR presence in the markets
- Assist your manager where required & action new projects delegated by same
Skills / Experience Required:
- Business/Marketing/Tourism/Aviation Studies or equivalent
- Interested in the aviation industry
- Preferably experience in busy and dynamic marketing environment
- Good working skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Fluency in English & second language (German, Dutch) - excellent written& verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are essential
- Confident with an ability to work on own initiative
- Ability to work in a pressurized environment and to tight deadlines
- Ability to multi task & assist in other European markets when needed
- Willingness to travel within the markets
- Valid EU driver’s license
