Title: Multidimensional Data Mapping: Development, Challenges, and Applications
Abstract:
The challenge of analyzing currently available data is present in the lives of a large high number of professionals. From the financial market to data driven science, the complexity and volume of data require the advance of computational approaches to support understanding of numerous phenomena. Data visualization has progressed in recent years with focus on improving effectiveness and performance of data analysis. In particular, techniques for mapping multi-dimensional data spaces to visual (2D, 3D) spaces have seen large progress. This talk presents some of the recently developed approaches for multi-dimensional visual data mappings, as well as the challenges facing the next generation of tools. Many applications of the approach, such as data categorization, text and image analytics, and linguistics will be demonstrated and discussed. We hope to raise awareness of multidimensional data analytics and motivate researchers to look into some of the current problems in the field.
