The Universities of Groningen (the Netherlands), Oslo (Norway), Aberdeen (United Kingdom) and Copenhagen (Denmark), offer an advanced curriculum on energy law, from wellhead to burner tip. The two-yearprogramme is an LL.M, designed and structured specifically for legal professionals in the energy sector and runs between September 2014 and August 2016.
The floor stone with a poem by Rutger Kopland from the former Public Library at the Oude Boteringestraat 18 has been secured for the duration of the construction work.
The chair has been endowed by the Groningen University Fund Foundation and is managed by the Department of General Law and Legal History, with close ties to the Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies.
Former Energy and Climate Law student Stavroula Pappa received an honourable mention for her LLM thesis as part of 'NeVER Thesis Award 2021', awarded by the Dutch Energy Law Association (Nederlandse Vereniging voor Energierecht).
