Title: Elliptic Delsarte Surfaces

Abstract:

In this talk we introduce elliptic curves.
These are curves with a group structure on the points, and one is interested in the size of this group.
We define these curves over the field of rational function in a variable t and explain how this relates to surfaces.
A particular kind of elliptic surface for which we can compute this group size are elliptic Delsarte surfaces.
We present a classification of these surfaces.
In doing so we find the elliptic surfaces with the maximal known size.
