This dissertation focuses on development, validation and selection of prescribing quality indicators (PQI) for type 2 diabetes mellitus care. It provides a set of valid and feasible prescribing quality indicators for measuring and improving prescribing quality in diabetic patients and discusses different approaches for selection of the relevant indicators.
