In this thesis, peripheral aneurysms are defined as iliac and popliteal artery aneurysms. The results of a cohort of 40 iliac aneurysms that were treated with a tubular endoprosthesis show that this technique is associated with low morbidity and mortality. The 5-year results suggest that the technique is durable. The endovascular repair of an iliac aneurysm is the preferred treatment if the aneurysm is anatomically suitable.
