On Tuesday April 13th, Dr Avril McDonald suddenly passed away

From 2004 Avril McDonald was a member of the Faculty of Law, initially as guest lecturer in international humanitarian law and from and from 2009 as Rosalind Franklin Fellow in International Law and Contemporary Conflict .
The news of her death leaves us in deep sadness. With Avril we lose a beloved and enthusiastic teacher and passionate researcher.
Avril will be buried in Ireland, her native country.
