Special Edition 2010

12 January 2009
Academy Building

Dear friends of the University of Groningen,

First of all, the editorial board of the University of Groningen Worldwide Newsletter would like to wish you a fantastic 2010! To mark the occasion of the New Year, here is a special edition of the newsletter and a short video, which looks back on the year 2009 in images and interviews, and more importantly looks ahead to what 2010 will bring.

Last year not only saw the first edition of the Worldwide Newsletter, it was also the year that 19 female top researchers were appointed in the prestigious Rosalind Franklin Fellowship Programme. For talented Bachelor’s students the Honours College was set up in 2009. You will hear more about these successful initiatives in the film. So why not just start the video and see our Rector Prof. Frans Zwarts greet you from a Groningen winter wonderland!
