PhD research: ‘New marketing models’
In his thesis, Mostafa Aâkouk focuses on the phenomenon of market orientation. Until recently, market orientation has been defined as the collecting of market information, the spreading of this information by the organization and making decisions on that basis. Aâkouk argues that this classic marketing concept is becoming outdated. He has developed two new, alternative models that provide a more detailed image.
Curriculum vitae
Mostafa Aâkouk (Amsterdam, 1977) studied Economics at the Vrije Universiteit (VU), Amsterdam. The research was conducted at the SOM research school. Aâkouk will defend his PhD in Economic Sciences on 14 December 2006, at 2.45 p.m. His thesis supervisors are Prof. J.C. Hoekstra and Prof. P.S. Zwart. The thesis is entitled: Market-based capabilities, perceived quality and firm performance . Mostafa Aâkouk will continue his career as an independent entrepreneur.
