Two Faculty of Art students nominated for Noorden Digital Talent Award
This year, two UG Faculty of Arts students have been nominated for the Noorden Digitaal Talent Award. With this award, Noorden Digitaal, a networking organization for digital society, awards this prize to offer students and school pupils from the provinces of Groningen, Friesland and Drenthe a platform to showcase their digital discoveries and solutions. The lucky nominees are, Yulia Akinina and Leonardo Arriagada.
Akinina has an idea for a digital solution for diagnosing language disorders: a multilingual Token Test. The Token Test is the most widely used test in post-stroke language diagnostics and has been around since the 1960s. The Token Test app is an implementation of the shortened Token Test for the diagnosis of aphasia and language disorders. Leonardo Arriagada wants to shed more light on the creative capabilities that computers could also possess.Their video pitches can be watched on the website of Noorden Digitaal.
