Relocation of main entrance Medical Sciences and Pharmacy as of 30 August
Students, staff and visitors of the Faculty of Medical Sciences and Pharmacy (FSE) will no longer be able to enter the education complex through building 3211. From Monday 30 August onwards, they can use the entrance of the adjacent building 3219 as access to the entire complex. This change is necessary because in the coming months the area around the Antonius Deusinglaan will be prepared for the construction of the new Education Centre.

Changed entrance | reception desk stays
The closure of the current main entrance of building 3211 is temporary for the duration of the new building project Education Centre for the coming years. The reception desk in building 3211 will stay at the current location. From the new main entrance in building 3219, visitors will be guided towards this desk. As soon as the new Education Centre is completed, the current entrance of building 3211 will be connected to the new building, in which the reception desk will have a new location.
Bicycles in the racks
The area for the construction activities requires extra attention for safety and accessibility for emergency services. Bicycles may therefore still only be placed in the designated bicycle parking areas. It is forbidden to place bicycles outside the sheds.
Start of set-up construction site
In early 2022 the University of Groningen will start the construction of the new Education Centre for students of the Faculties of Medical Sciences and Science and Engineering (Pharmacy). The end of August 2021 marks the start of the set-up of the construction site, the preparation of the terrain and the construction of the new underground infrastructure of the area, so that future building projects can be connected to it. More information about the design of the Education Centre will follow shortly.
