If hard work doesn't pay off, why do it? On work and inequality.


Why work hard if it won't make you richer anyway or still not be able to buy or rent a house? University lecturer Jaap Nieuwenhuis (Department of Sociology) shows that for young people there is little that motivates them to work hard.
