Looking for new friends during the rush hour of your life. ‘You’re doing yourself a disservice if you just stay at home on your own’ (DvhN) According to Statistics Netherlands (CBS), 17.4 per cent of 35- to 45-year-olds feel severely socially lonely. Why is that, and how do you make new friends? Daniel Cowen investigated how first-year students form friendships.
