The group consists of researchers and lecturers based in Globalisation Studies Groningen (inter-faculty institute) and in Pedagogics (Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences).

Dr. Josje van der Linden holds the UNESCO Chair on Lifelong Learning, Youth and Work at Gulu University in Uganda. She coordinates the international network: Youth, Education, Work (YEW) at GSG.

Dr. Marco Mazereeuw is a researcher on the subject of vocational pedagogy and lifelong development. His research often focuses on the regional collaboration of VET institutes, companies and social partners and how learning and work processes can be strengthened in these contexts. In addition to his job at the University of Groningen, he holds a chair on the same theme at NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences and Friesland College.
