Overview contracts
Faculty of Arts & University of Groningen have various exchange contracts with universities abroad.
Students
Establishment of exchange contracts for students is relevant because:
- they are fee-paying students of the University of Groningen during their stay abroad and therefore exempted of tuition-fee payment at the host university;
- next to this, there is an option for students to apply for a scholarship (e.g. Erasmus+, EMA2, Marco Polo) and will have access to facilities of the host university, obtained credits will be awarded and mostly there is assistance for housing, visa, insurance and an introduction arranged.
Lecturers/Staff
Establishment of exchange contracts is relevant for lecturers/staff because:
- the host university will facilitate an office and offer computer facilitiest,
- the host university will assist - if applicable - in applying for work documents, visa, housing, etc.
