Kristina Thornton

Kristina Thornton is a lecturer on language and culture in the English department of the teacher training academy at NHL Stenden. Originally from the U.S., she has lived abroad since 2004 while teaching English in both mono- and multicultural contexts in Taiwan, Canada, Spain, Singapore, and The Netherlands. As a project leader with the IDARE working group, she works with students and staff to tackle issues related to inclusion, diversity, anti-racism and equity. In this capacity she helps raise awareness and promote constructive discussions by organizing events and supervising cross-disciplinary student projects with the aim of fostering an inclusive and diverse community at NHL Stenden.
