Coaching Projects
The basis of the trajectories is cognitive behavioural coaching in which cognitive, behavioural, imaginary and problem-solving techniques and strategies are combined. The trajectories may have different aims a) the improvement of performances, psychological resilience and/or well-being, b) the prevention of stress during educational activities and c) the handling of mental blockages because of change.
Two types of coaching trajectories have been developed for the workplace.
The first trajectory is for students, Ph.D. students or additional teachers who are going to supervise a specific educational activity for the first time. This trajectory primarily aims to improve performance and to eliminate or prevent stress. In addition to three interviews, the coach will also make observations during the educational activities twice. These observations may be input for the discussions.
The second programme is for students who find it difficult to plan their studies, experience too much stress whilst studying or have trouble completing their bachelor / master thesis. During five meetings, the coach and the student will examine what the impediments are, and how they can best be approached or dealt with.
In both trajectories learning objectives are formulated during the first coaching session which will be written down in a coaching contract. After the last conversation the coached person will write a brief report in which the proceeds of the process are being discussed. In the context of professionalization, the coach will attend 2 peer review meetings during the coaching process and will write an overall reflection report in which the personal learning experiences and coaching skills are discussed.
