Deadlines timetabling

Faculty of Science and Engineering

With 14 bachelor’s, 27 master’s degree programmes and almost 1000 course units, it is imperative that the timetabling of lectures, practicals and examinations starts in time. To create a timetable taking almost all requests into account takes a few months. With the current number of students and a fixed amount of lecture rooms there is hardly any flexibility within the timetables. A timely publication of the timetables for the academic year 2022-2023 can only be guaranteed if the deadlines given in this document are respected.

Timeline

Due to the fact that deadlines for the booking of all the examination halls and the teaching facilities at Antonius Deusinglaan (ADL) are not FSE but UMCG/Central University deadlines, there is a difference in deadlines between courses run at ADL and at Zernike.

The following deadlines are important in the coming months:

Deadlines for course units taught at ADL (Antonius Deusinglaan) in 2022-2023
1 December 2021
  • Teaching staff hands in new course units to programme director/programme committee for approval

December 2021 -January 2022

  • The programme director and the programme committee set the definite programme for 2022-2023 before 1 February
1 February 2022
  • Availability of teaching staff
  • Information on new course units (name, period, assessment form, study programmes)
  • Changes in the form of assessment of existing course units
  • Changes in lecturers and structure or number of lectures /practicals/tutorials for course units semester 1 (1A + 1B)
1 June 2022
  • Changes in lecturers and structure or number of lectures /practicals/tutorials for course units semester 2 (2A + 2B)

Deadlines for course units taught at Zernike in 2022-2023

Please note: The degree programme coordinators will provide the teaching staff with digital forms to hand in the required information. The set-up of any new course unit or changes made to existing course units needs to be discussed with the programme director and the programme committee before the deadlines mentioned in the above schedules.

Your help and input are essential in making all necessary information on courses and programmes available on time for students and teaching staff.
