International Perspective

The Faculty of Science and Engineering has an international focus that comes back in all facets of our education and research.

Almost all of our education programmes are English-taught. Also, most of the research at our faculty is conducted in English. As a result, our faculty has students, teachers, researchers, and staff from across the world studying and working together. This means that you can benefit from a variety of international perspectives coming together in the classroom and on campus.

Besides the international perspective at the University, Groningen city offers a rich international student life and is home to international student organizations such as ESN or AIESEC.

Opportunities abroad

If you study at the University of Groningen, you will get the opportunity to broaden your horizon and do part of your studies abroad. For example, our Bachelor's programmes offer exchange programs with partner universites across the world. Also, during your Master's study you can do one of your research projects abroad.

Finally, if you continue your career as a researcher at our university, you will be embedded in an international environment of projects and partnerships with universities and industry across the globe.
