Career Paths in Science, edition 4

In 2001 the Faculty of Science and Engineering introduced the Career Paths in Science (Bèta's in Banen) tenure track policy. Key aspects of the policy are that it focusses on open recruitment of academics at the level of assistant professor in international competition and offers them the perspective of promotion to associate professor and ultimately full professor. Individual performance, rather than staffing configurations, are leading in a person’s career.
