Groningen Engineering Business Center (GEBC)

The Groningen Engineering Business Center (GEBC) is a collaboration between industry and the Faculty of Science and Engineering of the University of Groningen to develop a sustainable and consistent relationship in the field of engineering. Our aim is to encourage and facilitate developments, research and innovation of companies that are located in the Northern Netherlands.

11 business clusters are currently part of the GEBC and represent about 180 technologically oriented companies that carry out their work largely in water, energy, healthy aging, agrofood, HTSM and chemistry. In addition to this vast industry network, the GEBC works together with 40 technology-related research groups of the University of Groningen.

We support:
- The Exchange of knowledge between the University of Groningen and industry,
- Education in coordinating excursions and guest lectures,
- Matchmaking between students and companies for internships, research projects and job perspective, and
- Compile a master research agenda from practice-driven innovation questions.
