Academic Advisor

Academic advisors assist students in finding solutions to any problem encountered while studying and provide information about the degree programme. They are here to help you find your way in and around your degree programme. The academic advisor is also available for assistance, in case you have questions about (the preparation for) your degree programme.

If you have questions about the courses in your pre-Master’s programme, you should contact the academic advisor of the bachelor programme these courses belong to. If you have questions about your pre-Master’s programme in general, you should contact the academic advisor of the Master’s programme you will later be entering. In some cases, the academic advisor will be the same for both.

The academic advisor for premasters AI and CCS is Rachel van der Kaaij. She will be personally available during the Introduction lecture and can be contacted by email as well: Note that she is not available during the summer holidays, from July 19 to August 15 2023. If you encounter problems or have questions during the summer, please first check our online programme information (login required) to find out how/where you can find a solution or answer.

As a premaster student, you need to pass all your courses within one academic year in order to be admitted in the Master programme. It is therefore very important to contact your academic advisor in case you may not pass one of your premaster courses due to personal circumstances (e.g. illness or family circumstances). Don't postpone to discuss your options with the academic advisor!
