Academic Advisor

Academic advisors assist students in finding solutions to any problem encountered while studying and provide information about the degree programme. They are here to help you find your way in and around your degree programme. The academic advisor is also available for assistance, in case you have questions about (the preparation for) your degree programme.

Hello! My name is Solita van Duin and I am the academic advisor for the Bsc IEM. It is my job to advise, inform and help students when needed, and I will be
personally available during the Introduction day (kick off day, usually first Monday in September).

This Introduction Day is very important to make a good start!
You will:

- get to know your IEM group (IEM 1 - IEM 5)
-meet your Learning Community Coach (mentor)
- learn about our informations systems
- know your timetable
- enrol yourselves for all the 1st yr course modules
- order your books (if you haven't already)
- receive necessary information about the program

The Bsc IEM is a highly technical program that requires quite some study time. This, and also living on yourself in Groningen, will cause a major difference from your life before!
