Pre-master programmes

Would you like to pursue a Master’s degree after your (HBO)Bachelor? Welcome at the Faculty of Science and Engineering!

The Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE) offers Pre-Master programmes that are designed to equip you with the sufficient and appropriate academic skills and knowledge for a smooth transition to the corresponding FSE Master programme.

Some Master programmes offer standardized Pre-Master programmes for students with a certain (HBO)-bachelor. For other programmes, the Board of Admissions assesses your admissibility and defines a tailor-made programme depending on your educational background.

Some programmes offer a Pre-Master that you can follow during your (HBO)bachelor. When completed successfully, you can immediately start the Master programme after your (HBO)bachelor. We call these programmes Fast Tracks. 

For applicants with a non-Dutch diploma, it is not possible to apply for the Pre-Master's programmes directly. You have to apply for a regular Master's programme at the Faculty of Science and Engineering. If your credentials and educational background are insufficient for direct admission into the Master's programme, your application will be assessed to determine whether a Pre-Master's programme can be offered.
