Innovation is the key to the future
Innovation is at the core of High Tech Systems and Materials. To be able to continuously innovate and improve products and processes, the sector is in need of excellent scientists who are able to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, who look beyond the borders of their own field, who are open-minded towards other disciplines and the outside world and who are prepared to go the extra mile every day.
The University of Groningen – in cooperation with companies of the Innovatiecluster Drachten (like Philips Consumer Lifestyle, Astron, BD Kiestra, Perkin Elmer etc.) – aims to equip talented, motivated students with the knowledge and skills needed to excel at the frontiers of High Tech Systems and Materials. This 1,5 year programme worth 20 ECTS is followed in addition to the standard Master's programme. It has been developed especially for students who want to get more from their studies.
What’s in it for you?
The Honours programme offers intensive, small-group teaching with a group of like-minded, motivated students. The HTSM Honours track offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with students from different disciplines on challenging, real-life product development assignments by the industry.
Students who complete the HTSM Master’s Honours Programme receive a mention on their diploma supplement. This will give you an advantage when applying for positions in academia, the business world or the public sector.
