Organization of the opening symposium and theme study

Every year it is possible for one to four students to help organize the first year FSE Honours College opening symposium and the lecture and discussion series. This has to be combined with an individual theme study.

In this case, you can work on a smaller second or third year research project of 5 ECTS, instead of a 10 ECTS project.

Organization of the opening symposium and lecture and discussion series (2 ECTS)

One to four Honours College students can help in the organization of the FSE Honours College openings symposium for first year students and the lecture and discussion series. Next to the organization of this symposium and the lecture and discussion series, you will also have to play an active role during these activities (for instance leading a discussion session or introducing the invited speakers).

Individual theme study (3 ECTS)

As the organization of the symposium offers you 2 ECTS, you have to do an individual theme study for the remaining 3 ECTS. If you are interested in a specific  subject in the FSE Honours College programme or your regular programme, you can choose to do a short deepening project in this subject. This can be for instance a lab session or a literature study. Supervision has to be found by yourself, you could ask one of the teachers involved in the course you are interested in. The end product can be an essay and/or a report.
