winner sustainibility project draw

Happy April Fool’s Day!

Nobody wins the solar cell foil last Friday morning, and we're not going to get sheep on our lawns or on the roof either! The ‘sustainability’ project and the message sent last Tuesday is an April Fool’s joke by a small group of faculty staff.

The aim of our April Fool’s joke is to bring some spring jollity to all our colleagues. Anyone who fell for it and registered for the draw is actually very eco-conscious! So those of you who didn’t…

A total of 178 staff members registered for the raffle of solar cell foil to be put on their window at home. Forty-five colleagues had registered within 5 minutes and 80 within the first hour! Some statistics: 62% men versus 38% women, 43% supporting staff versus 57% scientific staff.

Many of those who registered also mentioned that they thought a sustainability project like this was a good initiative. So, this offers perspectives for sustainable energy on a large scale!

Finally, we’d like to warmly thank Kees Hummelen, the Faculty Board and certain colleagues for their cooperation!
