Elsevier magazine: the best geography programmes of the Netherlands are taught in Groningen

Each year, Elsevier magazine publishes their Best Programmes ranking, based on surveys among students in higher education in the Netherlands. Both bachelor programmes and one of the masters of the Faculty of Spatial Sciences in Groningen rank highest in their respective categories in Geography.
With a total score of 70 points for the bachelor in Human Geography and Planning as well as the programme in Spatial Planning and Design, the programmes of the University of Groningen are in a joint first place in the Geography category for bachelor programmes.
Master programmes
The master in Economic Geography ranks first in the Geography master programmes with 87 points. Cultural Geography is a close second with 86 points. The Research Master in Spatial Sciences is by far the best research master in Geography with 77 points.
