Bachelor Human Geography and Urban and Regional Planning best geography bachelor according to Keuzegids
The bachelor's degree programme in Human Geography and Urban and Regional Planning at the Faculty of Spatial Sciences in Groningen is the best Bachelor's degree programme in the category ‘Human Geography and Planning'. In the Keuzegids Universiteiten 2018, published on 15 November, Human Geography and Urban and Regional Planning receives 68 points, above comparable Bachelor's degree programmes from the universities of Amsterdam (62 points), Nijmegen (54 points) and Utrecht (54 points). Last year, the bachelor's degree programme in Groningen earned 60 points. The new result is 13% higher.
The bachelor Spatial Planning and Design achieved the same score as in 2016, 58 points. Both bachelor's programmes from the Faculty of Spatial Sciences are offered in English. The university in Groningen is the best broad classical university in the Netherlands, according to the Keuzegids.
The Keuzegids Universiteiten is published annually by the Centre for Higher Education Information (CHOI; Centrum Hoger Onderwijs Informatie) and is intended for secondary school pupils and counsellors who want to find out more about university Bachelor’s degree programmes. The assessments in the Guide are based on student evaluations (National Student Survey), the national degree programme database Studiekeuze123 and NVAO visitation reports. There is a separate Guide for Master’s degree programmes.
