General information

The Department of Operations is one of the largest European research groups on operations, with focal areas in Operations Management, Operations Research, and Industrial Engineering. The department has over 25 tenured or tenure-track faculty in addition to several part-time lecturers.

Its research publications cover the full range of journals for the field, including IIE Transactions, Journal of Operations Management, Operations Research, Management Science, Decision Sciences, International Journal of Production Research, etc. The department builds on a strong position in international research networks in organizing conferences, and participating in working groups and projects.

Staff members are heavily involved in an active PhD Program, and in successful and accredited bachelor and master programs in Industrial Engineering, Technology Management, Operations Research, and Business Administration.
