TMT Composition Project

Composition of European Top Management Teams

Not much is known about the people in the Boards of the large European companies (especially compared to the USA). There is the daily economic news in which executives and directors have a prominent role, but that news focuses usually on one person, or one company. Additionally, there are a few studies that study corporate elites in one or two particular countries (UK, France, Germany). Comparative studies on a larger, European scale are lacking. We try to fill this gap.

Some first results of our project has been published. It contains a description of the (dis)similarities between 15 European countries in terms of the numbers of foreign Top managers present in the boards of the large corporations.
