Join us at the 15th edition of the Honours Festival on 24 June 2026!

15 June 2026

On June 24th, the 15th edition of the Honours Festival will take place in the Academy Building from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., beginning with a plenary opening session at 2:00 p.m. in the Aula. During this interdisciplinary festival, students from the Honours College will present the projects they have been working on together over the past two and a half years. In total, fourteen interdisciplinary groups will present projects they have developed by combining diverse backgrounds, experiences, and areas of expertise.

As visitors, you can take part in fun and interactive activities throughout the afternoon that offer insight into the scientific and societal challenges the students have explored together. For example, you can participate in a workshop that lets you experience what it feels like to get lost in the Dutch healthcare system and discover the solutions the students have developed to address this issue. You can watch a mini-documentary about finding moments of hope in the lives of people with Down syndrome and dementia, gaining a more nuanced perspective on these conditions. You can also explore the world’s largest particle physics laboratory through a board game and learn why its significance extends far beyond physics alone, and much more! We warmly welcome you to join us and look beyond the boundaries of your own knowledge and perspectives.
