Falling Walls 2018 look back

At the Falling Walls Lab Finale on 8 November in Berlin, Ahmed Ghazi of the University of Rochester was crowned the Falling Walls Young Innovator of the Year 2018 with his presentation on Breaking the Wall of Surgical Errors. Ahmed developed 3D printed injection molds used to create intricate realistic human organs. These models can be used by doctors to rehearse surgeries and reduce the rate of surgical errors.

Adam Fulop took home second place with his presentation on Breaking the Wall of Braille Literacy, followed by Ankita Poudyal with her presentation on Breaking the Wall of Inefficient Filters.
