Module information:

Have you recently started your PhD and do you often feel overwhelmed, powerless or at a loss for what to do? Would you like to get beyond being a good student and feel in charge of your own destiny?

We’re here to help. In the three part course “The Empowered PhD” we will help you to feel more empowered, more in control and more satisfied during your PhD. We do this with a combination of presentation and discussion of research findings, and hands-on communication training.

In the course you will gain
a) understanding of the PhD workplace and challenges facing PhD students today (first session)
b) practical communication skills to empower you in the work environment (second and third session)
