UCF Minor: what to expect?
The UCF minor gives you the freedom to design your own programme! Students can explore different available options and decide what’s best for them based on their own priorities and needs.
You could follow a university minor programme at the University of Groningen or any other Dutch university. The minor programmes are open to all students and give you the opportunity to explore other disciplines and find out how it relates to your programme. It would also help you discover what master programme you could take after graduation.
There is also the possibility to do a pre-master during the UCF minor. This option is for students that already know what kind of master programme they would like to follow after graduation, but don’t meet all the entry requirements. The University of Groningen offers a wide range of pre-master programmes to help you prepare for the master programme of your choice.
Another option is applying your knowledge and skills while strengthening your CV. Within the minor, you could also opt for an internship abroad or in the Netherlands. Internships are a good way to experience the labour market and help you improve your skills and competences.
The other opportunity you could explore within the minor is the semester abroad. We have partner universities in different regions. What about studying at Osaka University? Or improving your Spanish by spending one semester at the National Autonomous University of Mexico? You could also spend a semester in Spain, France or Finland. The semester abroad will allow you to experience a different educational system while broadening your intercultural experience. It is also a great opportunity to develop your language skills.
As you can see, there are plenty of options to explore for the UCF minor!
