Admission requirements 2024/2025

Great that you have decided to apply for the BSc Global Responsibility & Leadership!

As the Global Responsibility & Leadership programme is a small-scale, intensive bachelor degree, a selection procedure applies. Succesful completion of the UCF selection procedure (document review & interview) is a condition for admission to the BSc Global Responsibility & Leadership.

The Early Bird application deadline is 15 January 2024 and the final application deadline is 1 May 2024. The faster you apply, the sooner you will hear back from us and you will be the first to book your accommodation! We aim to inform you of your status within 4 to 8 weeks after you completed your application. Apply early!

There are two admisson requirements*:

*As of 1st September, 2023, Maths A or B (or their international equivalent) is no longer an entry requirement for this programme.

1. Secondary School Diploma

You are required to have successfully obtained a secondary school diploma which allows entry to an academic university. Therefore, you need to obtain a Dutch VWO diploma or international equivalent before gaining entry to the programme. It is also possible to apply with a Dutch HBO (University of Applied Sciences) propedeuse or a colloquium doctum.

2. English requirements

As the GRL programme is fully taught and assessed in English, students are required to demonstrate their English skills by sitting an approved English test. You are exempted from proving your proficiency in English, if you:

Are a native speaker and have completed your entire secondary education in one of the following countries: USA, UK, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia or Canada (English secondary education)
Have already completed an entire Bachelor's degree programme in one of the following countries: USA, UK, Ireland, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, or Canada (English secondary education)
Scored a minimum final grade of 7 for the English course for the Dutch VWO diploma
Obtain(ed) a Dutch HBO Propaedeutic diploma taught and assessed in English
Scored a minimum final grade of 10 for the English course at Leistungskurs (LK) / erhörtere Anforderingsniveau (eA) for the German Zeugnis der Allgemeinen Hochschulreife
Obtain(ed) an International Baccalaureate diploma, with English as the medium of instruction
Obtain(ed) an European Baccalaureate diploma from a European School or one of the Accredited European Schools and have (completed) English as final exam subject as L1 or L2
Apply with at least 3 GCE A2-level certificates from an accredited British examination board
Obtain(ed) the French Option Internationale du Baccalaur éat (OIB) section Britannique / Anglais
Obtain(ed) the South African National Senior certificate with IEB Advanced Programme certificate in English with 55% or more.

If you do not fall under one of these exemptions, you are required to complete an English language test. Information on accepted tests and grades can be found here.

In case you haven't taken one of our accepted English tests yet, or think this is not necessary for you, then please indicate this with your online application. In case it is required for you to take one of our accepted English tests, you will be informed about this by the admissions office when an admission decision has been made on your application.
