Projects
Our current projects reflect the Sustainability & Wellbeing (SW) team’s commitment to advancing the climate & ecological transition through applied, collaborative research. We work closely with international partners, NGOs, governments, and local communities to protect biodiversity, strengthen ecosystems, and promote sustainable land-use practices.
These projects combine scientific research with policy engagement and on-the-ground action. By integrating ecological knowledge with social justice perspectives, we contribute to protecting vulnerable species, supporting sustainable agriculture, and strengthening resilience across regions and flyways.
LIFE IP GrassBirdHabitat
This project focuses on improving and restoring habitats for threatened grassland bird species across Europe. By working with farmers, policymakers, and conservation organisations, the project promotes biodiversity-friendly agricultural practices that support both ecological sustainability and rural livelihoods. LIFE Godwit Flyway
This international initiative aims to safeguard the migratory routes of the Black-tailed Godwit and other meadow birds. The project addresses habitat loss and ecological pressures along the species’ flyway, combining research, conservation action, and cross-border cooperation to ensure long-term population recovery.
