Patents mean profit
Despite what is often thought, applying for patents has a positive effect on the profitability of SMEs. This is the conclusion of research conducted by Prof. Dries Faems and his colleague Petra Andries of the University of Leuven. According to Faems and Andries, SMEs should become more aware of the value of the patent procedure.
