The new Dean's passion
Lodi Nauta is the new Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, which always tops the tables in evaluations and was judged the best philosophy faculty by Elsevier. Nauta’s research focuses on renewal in Western thinking and culture: the emerging thinking in the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, the beginning of Humanism and the rise of early modern philosophy. Lately, Nauta has been studying the philosophical dimension of Humanism in the Renaissance.
The weekly online video magazine Unifocus highlights topics related to the University of Groningen in the fields of research and society, student life, teaching, policy and internationalization.
