De Dromenwever: exam dreams
Some parts of our brains are active while we sleep and begin to spin wild tales. You have to resit an exam that you passed ages ago. You try to catch a train in vain. You meet people who are no longer with us. Suddenly you find yourself standing naked among your colleagues. Most of these stories vanish into thin air once you awaken. Prof. Douwe Draaisma wrote De Dromenwever (The Dream-weaver), a book in which he sorts the facts on erotic, prophetic and exam dreams from overwrought fiction.
The weekly online video magazine Unifocus highlights topics related to the University of Groningen in the fields of research and society, student life, teaching, policy and internationalization.
